Rosetta Stone 3.0
2024
How permanent is the data we believe we have preserved "forever"? Just as ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs were decoded in modern times, how will future beings interpret our digital footprints?
This work questions what it means to preserve "us" as preservation technology evolves. By juxtaposing contemporary preservation techniques, "Digital Rosetta" challenges our assumptions about technological progress.
The installation explores the paradox of digital permanence, inviting viewers to contemplate the archaeological significance of our current digital age and the inherent fragility of what we consider permanent storage.
